Rodney Jones, Pastor
My call is very simple, Love God and Love people! My life verse is 1 John 4:7, “Beloved let us love one another for love is of God and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God!” We are commanded to make disciples, teaching, preaching and baptizing the way Jesus did. My vision is to minister to all age groups and show them by the example I live to follow Christ and deny ourselves!
The Lord called me at nineteen to ministry; I started serving as a college student with the youth at Morrison Heights Baptist in the fall of 1993. In 1995 I started dating Robyn and moved my letter to Raymond Road Baptist where I started serving the youth and coaching church league basketball. This wonderful church family poured into my life and this was where I got married and our first child was dedicated! The Lord led our family back to the delta where I grew up and within three years the Lord called me to full-time ministry. The rest is all in His hands!
Adam Dungey, Music Pastor
Music touches my soul. God gave us music as one means to worship Him.
Music has been a part of my life since I was a child. My Dad was a Music Minister. My Grandparents sang in a southern gospel group, as well as my uncle and cousin. Many of my family members sing or play instruments. So music has been a part of me and naturally is an outlet of praise and worship to me in honor of our Savior!
I never thought I would be called to lead music in a church on a “full-time” basis; however, the Lord began by opening the door to interim positions. I was happy with just being the interim for a while, until more doors were opened. After much prayer and discussion with my wife, we have stepped into bi-vocational “full-time” ministry.
Psalm 105:2 Sing to Him, sing praise to Him; tell of all His wonderful acts.
